The fact that men artists receive more support in Ghana than female musicians does rank among the hot-button issues that have caused a lot of discussion over the years on radio and television here in Ghana.
The singer Petrah’s comment that men are inherently created to be superior to women and that there will never be a period in the music industry where they (Female Musicians) will be treated equally to men sparked this particular discussion.
Gyakie, a songbird from Ghana, has contributed to this. She remained neutral on this subject but extended a round of applause to all the gatekeepers who are working to promote female musicians.
