Gregory Bortey Newman, better known as King Promise, is a Ghanaian highlife and Afrobeats singer-songwriter who won the title of “BEST MALE WEST AFRICA” at the 2023 Edition of the African Music Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) on September 17, 2023, at the magnificent Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas.
The winner was King Promise, who beat off prominent West African performers Adekunle Gold, Black Sherif, Buju, Asake, Omah Lau, Didibo, Tonton, and Satrinos Raphael. King Promise is best known for his smash hit tune “TERMINATOR.”
A highlight of what happened in the event center was revealed by the 5 Star General a few days after the main event.
The musician wrote a brief letter of thanks to the Award program and his whole fan base for their unwavering support beneath the video.
