Ghanaian afrobeats, dancehall, and reggae music artists Shatta Rako, whose real name is Rexford Kojo Amoah, recently tweeted a picture of one of the musicians who had the most influence on him when he first started listening to music and even before he decided to pursue music as a career.
The “Stir It Up” composer tweeted a picture of THE famous Ghanaian singer-songwriter and musician DADDY LUMBO in his formative years two days ago when he discussed how Daddy Lumba influenced his musical career.
Shatta mentioned that he began listening to DADDY LUMBO at a very young age in the caption he wrote for the image. He continued by recalling a time when his aunt actually asked him to pen the words of one of DADDY LUMBA’s monster hit songs, “sesewose,” back in the day.
Shatta Rako’s wonderful sentiments about the legendary singer are pleasant to hear because legends like Daddy Lumbo seldom ever receive flowers when they are still alive and well.
In his submission, Shatta Rako further noted how DADDY LUMBA has made an unrivaled contribution to the music industry.
