Prolific Ghanaian musician and master songwriter Akwaboah devastated his devoted followers with a recent post on his many social media accounts.
The much-awaited Shades of Love concert, which has grown to be an annual Valentine’s Day event that has enthralled fans for the past six years, has sadly been canceled, Akwaboah announced in a statement released on Saturday, February 10.
All was set for the 2024 edition of the SHADES OF LOVE CONCERT to come to live as the singer made two post on January 10, and January 11, speaking how ready he is to thrill his admirers on February 14.
His fans are quite upset that he called off the concert in a recent social media post, and they have taken to the comment section to voice their displeasure.
“When it became evident that we cannot deliver what you have come to expect at the Shades of Love concert, the choice was obvious. It is always my wish to give you the best experience because you deserve the best” – he states
Notwithstanding the postponement, Akwaboah remains committed to keeping a pledge he made to his supporters before learning of this heartbreaking yet happy ending.
Akwaboah has promised to release an official music video for “ASIKYIRE” a track off his LIGHTHOUSE Album featuring rapper Sarkodie and the cancellation of the concert couldn’t prevent that from happening.
“That notwithstanding, I have some pleasant surprise for you this valentine” – he concluded his announcement
