The 17-track “5TH DIMENSION” album, which was put together by one of Ghana’s most renowned musicians, Livingstone Etse Satekla (also known by his stage name Stonebwoy), has been nominated for three categories at the 2023 GRAMMY Awards.
One of the key Ghanaian performers, Stonebwoy is now on tour outside of Ghana promoting the record and working his tail off to bring the Ghanaian sound on the global stage.
Following its official release, 5th Dimension debuted on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart at number eight.
The Bhim President’s album “5TH DIMENSION” is up for consideration in the categories of BEST REGGAE ALBUM and BEST GLOBAL MUSIC ALBUM.
The final song from the album “MANODZI” with Angélique Kidjo was also a contender in the category for BEST AFRICAN MUSIC PERFORMANCE.
On his Instagram page, potential GRAMMY Award winner Stonebwoy announced the news, and numerous musicians from Ghana and outside congratulated him in the comments.
This year’s GRAMMY nominees will be announced on Tuesday, Nov. 15, with the 2023 GRAMMYs airing live Sunday, Feb. 5, from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The 2023 GRAMMYs will broadcast live on the CBS Television Network and stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
